Peter Funch

For nine years, Peter Funch stood on the same New York corner, 42nd and Vanderbilt, every weekday morning between 8:30 and 9:30 AM., camera in hand, as the city streamed by.

His project began as a side project but turned into a long-term sociology experiment disguised as street photography. By capturing the same faces and gestures over time, Funch revealed a remarkable study of repetition, ritual, and routine.
