Kodak Limited Edition Super 8
Eastman Kodak Company is releasing a brand new, limited edition, Super 8 camera. Complete with a digital viewfinder, the camera accepts all the old film cartridges (classic stocks like VISION 3, EKTACHROME, and TRI-X) and all C mount lenses.
At $5,500, I think most creatives / content creators / filmmakers will need a project to fit the bill, especially since film cartridges cost $40 - $70 for about three and a half minutes of footage. Developing costs vary around $50 - $100 per cartridge, plus you'll want to factor in the wait time cost in today's rocket-fast turnaround schedules. Hence, it's a pricey commitment.
I applaud Kodak for spending the years developing this camera, the resources to produce it, and the dedication to physical film! If they would only bring back Kodachrome...
