Chandramohan

I love the work of Chandramohan, an Indian artist based in Cochin, Kerala, whose beautiful monochromatic ink illustrations turn everyday observations into striking visual narratives.

Working primarily with bold brushstrokes, silhouettes, and negative space, he has an incredible ability to suggest movement, atmosphere, and emotion with surprisingly little detail.

Almost as satisfying as the finished artwork itself, I can watch his process videos all day as abstract marks gradually reveal a recognizable scene.

A great reminder that sometimes what you leave out of an image is just as important as what you put into it.
