Richard Johnson Ice Huts

Attn: all my architect friends, if you like the photography work of Bernd and Hilla Becher, you'll enjoy the work of Richard Johnson and his systematic documentation of ice huts.

Each little structure paints a story of its creation and one can only imagine who uses each one. Their environment turns out to be a perfect backdrop for photographing them (natural white cyc with diffused lighting!) and for each one to be an object in the round, plopped into its site like a temporary tent.
