Herakut
I’m a fan of Herakut, the artistic collaboration between Hera (Jasmin Siddiqui) and Akut (Falk Lehmann). The duo merged their names and styles in 2004 and unfortunately separated in 2020.
Hera, a graffiti artist from Frankfurt, and Akut, the founder of the Ma’Claim Crew, brought their talents together to create thought-provoking and visually stunning pieces. Drawing on Akut's photorealistic graffiti background and Hera's artistic vision, Herakut left their mark on cities around the world.
With a shared goal of beautifying urban spaces and spreading positivity with a humanitarian touch, Herakut's art is still a powerful force for social good. With a strong focus on humanitarian causes, they dedicated more than half of their work to supporting children in need, from abused children in Frankfurt to refugees in Jordan and Palestine, as well as teenagers in drug-rehab programs in Miami.
