Kostya Terentev

I love the simplicity of Kostya Terentev’s photography.

Shot largely from above, landscapes flatten into graphic compositions. Roads become lines, shadows become shapes, and boundaries between snow, grass, and pavement start to feel more like design than photography.

What really makes the images work for me is how the figure(s) are scaled within the frame. A tiny gesture or carefully placed body is sometimes all it takes to give an otherwise abstract composition meaning, scale, and a bit of humor.
